Our research activities cover a wide spectrum of topics, including Particle Physics, Quantum Field Theory and String Theory, General Relativity and Gravitational Waves, Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, Statistical Mechanics and the Physics of Complex Systems.

Seminario Nazionale di Fisica Teorica - Parma International School of Theoretical Physics

Since 1991 the INFN group at Parma U has been organizing the ''Seminario Nazionale di Fisica Teorica'' (SNFT), a national school for graduate students in Theoretical Particle Physics. In 2006 the school opened to international scholars from all countries and became the Parma International School of Theoretical Physics (PISTP). SNFT/PIPST is supported by INFN and Parma U. How to reach us

  • The closest airports are in the Milano area (LIN,BGY,MXP) or Bologna (BLQ). From the airports one must continue by shuttle buses and trains.
  • For trains timetable and tickects check Trenitalia
  • Bus lines 7 and 21 connect the train station and the city center to the campus.Single tickets can be bought on board for extra charge, but better to buy a 8 rides one on bars/tobacco shops. Once at the campus, get off at the 2nd stop. Check the local transport website.
